Q&A With Developmentally Appropriate Practice Authors!

Calling on early childhood "people"!

I invited you to participate in this once-in-a-blue-moon opportunity to talk about Developmentally Appropriate Practice straight from the horses' mouths.

This Q & A will occur October 10-14, 2011.

Regardless of who you talk to in early childhood education, Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) remains a debatable subject, especially among predominantly minority children who are taught using more Behaviorist (i.e. Direction Instruction) teaching strategies rather than the more constructivist-based strategies that make up a large portion the continuum of teaching that exemplary teachers should have. No technique is more controversial than play.

Please share your thoughts with the authors themselves. Knowledge is power...when it is used to disern right choices and right paths. Then it becomes wisdom.
