I'm sure many have heard about the teacher in Sudan who allowed her children to name a class Teaddy Bear Muhammed causing Muslims to ask for her execution.
Fortunately, she was pardoned...but it should let us know as teachers that we must always keep in mind multiculturalism, the family, and the children's background when creating learning opportunities. We cannot eschew these.
