Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown and Republican Senator George Voinovich (both from Ohio) have sculpted education legislation that bolsters early childhood education...and it's pretty darn good.
They went to the right source, the NAEYC, for guidance and have scuplted a career laddy system called the Early Childhood Education Professional Development and Career System Grants Act (S. 1431). It is specifically aimed at giving grants to states so that they can hire and train high quality early childhood educators.
Even though I need to see the fine print, I tip my hat to them (but I haven't got a hat...bubu bubbu bum bum..).
