About a year ago, I decided to add and edit as many early childhood topics in Wikipedia as I could. Nothing publicizes an industry more than a free resource of the most comprehensive and up-to-date information about the industry.
If you haven't done so, please contribute (both literally and financially) to promoting early childhood education at Wikipedia.
Topics, debate, opinions, and announcements about everything related to education and development for children from birth to eight years of age.

Musings On An Early Childhood Career (Part 1)
Being a Black male in early childhood education poses some interesting difficulties. Many of my female colleagues believe that they naturally know more than me about raising and caring for young children. I continuously believe that when I go back to a regular elementary school class room, I will not stay there long. I believe that the district powerhouses will whisk me away to both an administrative desk and a involuntary disassociation with the children whom I love.
I ponder these things. How can I teach the children that I love when so many professional forces seek to keep me away from them?
